Organization of Information Security
The University assumes a coordinated approach to the protection of information resources and depositories of protected information that are under its custody by establishing appropriate and reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards that include all departments, individuals, or others that administer, install, maintain, or make use of Michigan Tech’s computing resources and other depositories of information.
The Information Security Roles & Responsibilities Policy describes the overall IT organization at Michigan Tech. All Information Technology Services personnel and users with access to sensitive institutional data are required to sign and date the University Confidentiality Agreement on an annual basis.
